Ouch! is a quirky French film with English subtitles. The plot revolves around a man named Robert whose sister sets him up with Claire, a new mother who actually happens to be an ex-girlfriend of his. As he finds his feelings for her returning, he meets a young model named Aïe (which means "ouch" in French). Aïe seems on the surface to be quite normal and lovely, but there may be more to her than meets the eye, and Robert falls wildly in love with her. He is soon caught in a situation where he must choose between the calmness and understanding nature of Claire versus the mystery and capriciousness that is Aïe.

The movie is seeing only a very limited release, but does have the possibility of future expansion. Though it has been very well-received thus far, the best case scenario for Ouch! is a cult following on video. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
